Riverboat Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino
In the initial ears after its grand opening in 1991, the riverboat of the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino could be seen cruising the Illinois River as often as 10 times a day. In 1999, however, changes to Illinois gaming legislation meant that riverboat casinos no longer had to leave their docks.
Then, in June 2010, the US Coast Guard introduced a requirement for riverboats to leave their docks for a few hours once a year. And so, after 11 years ashore, the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino took to the waters, if only briefly, once more.
For the most part, the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino is a docked riverboat casino, providing the vintage riverboat experience without actually setting out. It features a 202-room land-based hotel, six restaurants, full casino with slots and table games, gift shop, rock bar, fitness centre, and conferencing facilities.
On-Shore Guest Accommodation
As mentioned, there are 202 luxury rooms and suites in the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino. The hotel is located on the banks of the river, within walking distance of the casino, and the venue provides a free shuttle between the hotel and casino for guests.
The accommodations on offer at the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino are classified as either deluxe rooms or deluxe suites. The Deluxe rooms are spacious and feature 37” HD TVs, king-sized Sealy Dynasty beds with 300-threadcount linen, and other such amenities. The Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino Hotel deluxe suites offer the same amenities but on a larger scale for a suite of rooms instead of just one.
A Classic Casino
With vaulted ceilings, plush carpeting, and chandeliers hanging overhead, the casino floor of the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino is the picture of the opulence traditionally associated with riverboat casinos. The Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino is located just off Illinois Route 116/ US Route 150 and it is in East Peoria – the heart of the Peoria Metropolitan’s commercial district. This makes it an ideal venue for business guest as well as those on vacation.
In response to this, the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino offers more than 20 000 ft2 of conferencing and banqueting space to accommodate up to 1000 people.
Included in Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino function packages are catering, complimentary parking and shuttle service, audio-visual equipment and wireless internet, event planning services, a premium boardroom, expansive pre-function areas, and classical ballroom with dance floor.
Fitness Centre and Gift Shop
Guests at the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino can stay in shape at the venue’s state-of-the-art fitness centre, which includes a stationary bike, treadmills, and an elliptical exercise machine.
The Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino gift shop, meanwhile, deals in a broad array of clothing, keepsakes and curios, gift vouchers, and other miscellaneous items. It is located in the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino pavilion and is open every day except Mondays and Tuesdays.
Fine Dining, Casual Cuisine and Entertainment
There are six restaurants to choose from at the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino and these include everything from a steakhouse to a buffet, so as to satisfy just about all tastes.
One of these venues, Rocks, is both a rock bar and a restaurant and features live entertainment as well as karaoke and quiz nights.
